The new head of youth football spoke to De Telegraaf in an interview
Patrick Kluivert is very happy to be Barcelona's new director of youth football and spoke to De Telegraaf in an interview.
The former forward explained that his "main task will be to safeguard the philosophy of Johan Cruyff. It will not be difficult for me because I was at Ajax and Barcelona and both clubs have nearly the same style of play. I think with the arrival of Frenkie de Jong the links are even stronger."
Kluivert is conscious that there are a lot of things to get on top of. "It's not just a 40 hour a week job, it's far more," he said.
"I want to see all the players to form my own opinion. Of course the scouts and coaches will give me information but I think it's important to have an overall idea. In the end I will help to decide if anyone stays for the next season or not."
