Kevin Prince Boateng makes Barça debut at Sevilla as whirlwind week continues
Messi has been rested and Luis Suarez starts on the bench
Kevin Prince Boateng will make his debut just one day after being presented as the club's latest signing, joining on an initial six month loan from Sassuolo.
Boateng arrived in Barça on Monday night and signed his terms on Tuesday morning. Then, on Tuesday afternoon, he trained with his new teammates for the first time.
Ernesto Valverde included him in the squad for the trip to Sevilla on Wednesday for the Copa del Rey quarterfinal, but it was only on the morning of the game that his paperwork came through.
With everything tied up, though, he starts at the Sanchez Pizjuan as a No9, flanked by Malcom and Carles Alena. Luis Suarez is on the bench and Lionel Messi hasn't travelled as he's been given a rest.
