Kessie won't leave in January, but Barça evaluating future beyond summer

Franck Kessié will not leave Barça in the January transfer window. The club has no plans to let him leave the club and the player is not willing to listen to offers, so he will remain in the project until the end of the season.

The Blaugrana club, however, will analyse his situation in June and if he continues to be a player with low minutes tally, they will try to find the best solution for both parties.

Kessié has not convinced either the coaching staff or the sporting department. The club wanted a player with muscle and the Ivorian player was a good market opportunity.

In Milan, he had several good seasons, but his adaptation to Barça has cost him and the Blaugrana game style and tempo do not seem to suit him.

Kessié had the dream of playing as a Blaugrana and he is going to try until the end, although he is unlikely to play a major role in the decisive part of the season.

Xavi started him on a few occasions and that only to rest the first-choice midfielders. Kessié has not done badly, but he has not been a differential player like he was at Milan.

Barça admit that several clubs have shown interest in a potential winter transfer move, but it has been ruled out. In addition, the player is recovering from an injury that will keep him away from the pitch until mid-January.

Kessié does not want to leave now either. He is convinced that he can go further and will try to do so, although he is waiting to see how things stand in June.

He arrived as a free agent, so there would not be too many problems to find a way out for him. And his reputation in Italy is exceptional.

Barça are preparing moves for their midfield in the next project and Kessié will have to take a step forward if he wants to continue.
