Kessie & Christensen could leave Barça for free if not registered

The duo were both signed on free transfers at the start of the summer

Two of Barcelona's new signings, Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie, could leave for free if they are not registered before the LaLiga season stats, per ESPN.

The cited media explains that a clause in their contracts would allow them to walk away for free if Barça fail to register them with the league -- something they have not yet done.

Both players included this clause to have room to make a decision on their futures before the transfer window closes on August 31.

Barça, however, remain optimistic that all their five new signings -- Lewandowski, Kounde and Raphinha the other three -- and those who have signed contract renewals (Dembele and Sergi Roberto) will be registered in time for Saturday's opener against Rayo Vallecano.

In addition, ESPN add that if they cannot register Christensen and Kessie before this weekend, they would speak with their agents to find a solution while they get them inscribed before the end of the month.
