Juventus table first offer for the Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie
Barça want a straight sale, not the loan with buy option on the table
Franck Kessié is already back in Barcelona and in the next few days his future will be defined. The midfielder knows his situation in the Blaugrana project and could opt for a departure, although Barça will only open the door to him if a good fee is involved.
According to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', Juventus have already moved and have contacted Barça to ask for a loan with a buy option of €15 million. There is no agreement because Barça, in the event that Kessié leaves, want a direct sale.
Barça coach Xavi Hernández said a few days ago that he had spoken to Kessié to inform him of his situation in the squad. With the signings of Ilkay Gundogan and Oriol Romeu, the midfielder is going to have very few minutes so Barça are opening the door to an exit as long as he leaves a profit for the club.
Kessié received interest from a Saudi Arabian club, but the negotiations came to nothing and now the option of Juventus is on the table. Juve would offer Kessié four years at a figure similar to the salary he receives at Barça.
Barça and the player will meet in the next few hours to try to find a favourable solution for all parties. And it remains to be seen whether or not Kessié will join the tour of the United States. In any case, the club needs to close a transfer deal now and hopes to bring in a reasonable amount. He has been valued at 15 million euros and, apart from Juve, another proposal could come in.
Kessié is a player with a big market in Italy. His great seasons at Milan and his age make him an attractive player in the market. Inter were also interested in him, but have not yet made a definitive move.
