They've tabled a €70m bid and offered the defender between €15m and €20m per season

Juventus refuse to give up on signing Matthijs de Ligt and have made an improved offer for the centre back. After agreeing on a €70m deal with the player's club Ajax, it's personal terms where clubs are looking to one-up their rivals.

Due to the fact de Ligt has yet to agree terms with PSG or Barça, Juve have now offered him a five-year deal where he'd earn between €15m and €20m per season.

The Italian club, who have no genuine rivals in Serie A, are strengthening their squad ahead of another attempt to win the Champions League. The signing of Cristiano Ronaldo was for the exact same reason. They now believe de Ligt could be the person they build their defence around.
