Julian Araujo on song and directly heading to Barcelona's US tour?

It's been a busy summer for Julián Araujo. The California-born player has been practically non-stop since he joined up with the Mexican national team at the beginning of June. First with the Nations League (Mexico finished third) and then with the Gold Cup entering its final stretch. 

The Aztecs contest the semi-finals of the tournament against Jamaica. Julian has played in all the games so far (as a starter against Qatar, who are one of the guests in the competition). Without doubt, a good run-in after several months without competing and only training with FC Barcelona's first team squad. 

In this way, the full-back, who will spend the pre-season under the orders of Xavi (as the Terrassa coach himself has publicly announced) will join the squad at a very good pace. The coach made it clear that he wants to see the Mexican in action before making a decision. 

Market forces

Everything will be dependent, logically, on what happens with the issue of the full back spot in the market. If there is financial room, if a player of guaranteed quality can be brought in. There is also Sergiño Dest who will also have the option of winning a place in the next few weeks. 

It is almost certain that Araujo will agree with FC Barcelona to go directly to the tour in the United States. The Gold Cup final will take place in the early hours of Sunday morning.
