Juan Sebastian Veron, the former player and current president of Estudiantes de La Plata, spoke to ESPN in an interview and revealed a fact that most Barcelona fans may not have known.
Lionel Messi has been criticised on numerous occasions for not singing the Argentine national anthem, with some claiming that he does not even know it. Veron spoke about this issue to ESPN. “I sent Messi the verses of the anthem,” admitted Veron on Pura Quimica.
Messi had previously said “I didn’t sing it on purpose. I didn’t change anything and the crap didn’t get to me. To me, like everyone you feel [pride] when it plays, but everyone does it their own way."
