Barcelona want a long-term replacement for 32-year-old Luis Suarez

The moment of truth is here and Barcelona must make decisions. Despite being offered some big stars, the club are following their plan of signing a striker to complement Luis Suarez.

The club have a list of options but two are preferred. Frankfurt's Serbian striker Luka Jovic and Valencia's Rodrigo Moreno are the two favourites

Barça have followed Jovic's excellent season in Germany closely. His profile is what they're after and the club are well place to move for him this summer.

Frankfurt will exercise an option to sign him from Benfica and it's speculated they would then sell for around 50 million euros. Barça have been in touch with the player's people but interest from Paris Saint-Germain has complicated things.

PSG need someone to replace Edinson Cavani. Barça do like Jovic but it's one thing paying 60 million and another getting into a bidding war which could push the price beyond 80 million.

Jovic was the first choice but Valverde's pushed the Rodrigo option. Despite being 28, the coach and the club feel he would fit in well. He's not necessairly an out and out goalscorer, but he's versatile and talented.

Rodrigo's release clause is 120 million euros but Valencia would be open to negotiating. The problem here is Real Madird, who are also following their former youth player. At the right price, Valverde would love to have him in his squad.
