Barcelona sporting director Jordi Cruyff was spotted at Espanyol’s RCDE stadium for their 1-0 defeat by Villarreal on Wednesday, He was spying on Barcelona’s next opponent - after the World Cup break.
Once that’s over then Xavi’s side will face Espanyol at the Camp Nou on either Dec 30 or 31.
Barcelona’s clash against Espanyol could be on New Year’s Eve, and brings to mind the derby against Espanyol on King’s Day in the 2015-16 season in the Copa del Rey.
