The Barcelona defender insulted the Real Madrid man during the Clasico at Camp Nou
As occurs in Clasicos, tension was running high between the Barcelona and Real Madrid players. The result of that is that the players are nervous and sometimes behave out of character.
Some, such as Jordi Alba and Mateo Kovacic, become involved in arguments. In images captured by El Dia Despues, the Barça defender is caught ranting at the Croatian midfielder during the 1-1 draw.
"You're an idiot, learn to speak Spanish, fool. Learn to speak first, you asshole. Jog on, shut up, you idiot," were the phrased Alba dedicated to Kovacic in Saturday's game.
These things happen, although not so frequently these days. The atmosphere has changed slightly since the days when Jose Mourinho was on the bench at Madrid.
