Jordi Alba to finally stay at Barça ending talks of a loan move to Inter Milan

The Jordi Alba case comes to a swift end.

FC Barcelona's fourth captain will not leave the Spotify Camp Nou this summer despite agreeing to a loan move with Inter Milan on Wednesday.

The left-back from L'Hospitalet will continue to be a part of the Barça squad after his future at the club was cast in doubt by a frantic last few hours of the market.

Alba is not considering leaving Barça imminently. He has discussed the situation with his family. The possibility of a move at the end of the 2022/23 season is far more likely.

For now the 33-year-old wants to continue wearing the Barça jersey despite the smaller role he has been playing in the first few games of the season.

The arrival of Marcos Alonso and the emergence of Balde have reduced his importance in the squad, but the Catalan player does not want to pack his bags just yet.

Jordi Alba is convinced that he will end up playing and that is why he does not want to move.

Although given the history of the deadline day madness nothing can be ruled out.

At the moment the Catalan defender is not willing to join Inter Milan. The World Cup in Qatar does not weigh so much as to leave Barça and end a decade-long period.
