Jordi Alba has become Lionel Messi's biggest ally this season. After missing three games through injury, Alba was back in the side for Saturday's game at San Mames against Athletic Club. His presence is most noticed in attack. There, a combination with Messi ended up in the opening goal of the game.
Alba combined to perfection with Messi, with his cross turned home by the Argentine to give Barça the lead, goalkeeper Kepa finally beaten after 36 minutes of play.
With this latest assist, Alba has now set up four goals for Messi this season. In total, he has now created 10 goals for the No.10 since they have played together at FC Barcelona.
