Jordi Alba delighted to have Laporta back at Barca: 'It's gone down well'
The left-back spoke to SPORT about Joan Laporta's return to the Camp Nou presidency
Jordi Alba is a Barcelona socio and, as such, went to vote in the elections last weekend, when Joan Laporta was voted in as the club's new president.
In an exclusive interview with SPORT, Alba is eloquent when asked about Laporta, who triumphed ahead of Victor Font and Toni Freixa.
"It's great that Joan is with us, he knows exactly what he's doing, [his appointment] has gone down really well with the dressing room." the left-back revealed.
Alba values that, from now on, Barça will be properly respected by institutions and analyses what it means for the squad to have someone to defend them.
"I'm sure he's going to do great, from the outside he's going to do great, he's a person that everyone respects for what he has done and for who he is," Alba added.
"I'm very happy that the 'presi' is here with us and that he will be a visible leader for everyone."
