Jordi Alba and Gerard Pique miss out on Manchester City clash

The coach gets Arda Turan back from injury but not his wounded defenders, so has called up youth players once again

Luis Enrique has revealed his squad list for Barcelona's trip to face Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The Catalan coach has not been able to pick injured duo Jordi Alba and Gerard Pique, half of his first-choice defence. The technical team had hoped Pique might be back after hurting his ankle 15 days ago.

Good news is the inclusion of Arda Turan, who missed the Granada win while he recovered from a tough tackle he received in the Catalan Super Cup.

Three youth players who were called up against Granada stay with the squad, in Marlon, Nili and Alena.

Aleix Vidal is still out injured with the club publishing a statement saying his adductor problem continues, while Andres Iniesta and Jeremy Mathieu are also out injured.

The squad is: Ter Stegen, Cillessen, Masip, I. Rakitic, Sergio Busquets, Denis Suárez, Arda Turan, Luis Suárez, Leo Messi, Neymar Jr, Rafinha, Mascherano, Paco Alcácer, Digne, S. Roberto, André Gomes, Umtiti, Aleñá (28), Nili (32), Marlon (33).
