The Barcelona midfielder will sit out Sunday's match at Camp Nou

Frenkie de Jong will miss Barcelona's game against Celta Vigo on Sunday after being booked in Tuesday's 3-3 draw with Levante.

The Dutch international was shown a yellow, his fifth in La Liga this season, after a foul on Malsa in the 78th minute of the game in Valencia.

De Jong, who turned 24 on Wednesday, had been on the verge of a suspension for 14 games, since he picked up his fourth caution of the campaign on Feb. 7 against Real Betis.

Ronald Koeman has used De Jong in all 36 league games to date but the midfielder will now miss his first game of the season at Camp Nou this weekend.

Barça's draw with Levante left their title hopes hanging by a thread. They now need to win their remaining games and hope Atletico Madrid drop at least five points and Real Madrid lose one of their last three.
