The Liverpool manager was questioned by a club legend ahead of the Barca clash

Liverpool legend John Benjamin Toshack, who won two European Cups and three leagues there between 1970-78 as a player, was critical of Jurgen Klopp on Esports Cope radio.

“Klopp has been there four years and still won nothing,” said Toshack ahead of the Champions League semi first leg against Barcelona on Wednesday at Camp Nou.

“I don’t know if this is a motivation or added pressure,” he added.

He thinks that Barca have the advantage. “The team that has Messi should be the favourite,” he said. “We won’t get bored over these two games.

“There are players who you know will win you games, like Cruyff in my era. Liverpool have Salah, Mane and Van Dijk, a great leader, and Barca have Messi, Suarez and others.”

Toshack also questioned Klopp’s comment about Camp Nou not being a temple of football.

“I don’t know what the definition of a temple is for Klopp,” he aded. “It’s one of the stadiums you most like to play at and it’s very hard to face Barca because the Camp Nou is, without doubt, one of the greatest stadiums in the world.”
