Joao Felix continues dream start to his Barça career with Antwerp brace

The Portuguese forward has hit the ground running following his loan move from Atletico Madrid

Joao Félix is making the most of his first few games in a Barcelona shirt. The Portuguese forward was once again in the spotlight against Antwerp three days after his first big night at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys with a great performance against Real Betis.

And, just as he did against Betis, he opened the scoring against the Belgian champions. This time, in the 11th minute, he took advantage of a pass from Ilkay Gündogan to finish brilliantly past Jean Butez -- and later he added a second goal in a 5-0 win.

The playmaker was in the starting line-up for the second game in a row and was once again the star of the show in the first half. He has already scored two goals for the Blaugrana. Joao Félix is slowly but surely earning his place in Xavi's XI.

His debut as a starter with Barcelona against Betis was great, as he signed off a magical performance in which he scored a goal and gave a half an assist to Robert Lewandowski when he let the ball pass between his legs to run for the Polish striker.

And in his first game as a starter for the club in the Champions League, he repeated with the goal that opened the scoring and with a subsequent assist eight minutes later, again to Lewandowski. He launched a great cross to the far post that the ex-Bayern man took advantage of to beat the Antwerp goalkeeper.

In the second half, he headed in a Raphinha cross at the far post to complete another memorable night.
