The president was furious at what the Dutch coach decided to do
The general feeling of Barcelonismo was surprise when Ronald Koeman’s starting line up against Benfica was revealed. Not just for the players he picked nut the system too. The coach went three at the back again and did not maintain the team that did so well against Levante.
The Blaugrana chief Joan Laporta found out about the decisions in the box and found it hard to hide his rage. Those with Laporta were also unhappy. They did not like the 4-3-3 being abandoned that worked so well against Levante.
Furthermore, Koeman dropped Gavi and Nico Gonzalez, which annoyed the president. It only intensified as the game developed and Barca suffered a bad defeat.
