Joan Laporta on Sunday took part in the 12th Meeting of Barça Supporters Clubs in Castilla La Mancha and, as he did in his interview with TV3, he confirmed that the club are trying to sign young Turkish talent Arda Güler. Barca are in competition with many other teams but a recent visit of Deco to Istanbul left the deal very much on track.

"He is a very young Turkish player, it is true that the scouting department has been following him for some time now and he is wanted by all the important clubs in Europe and we are talking to Fenerbahçe", he said.

In front of the supporters present, Laporta gave a very positive assessment of the season, which has ended with two titles, the league and Spanish Super Cup, and also with the national championships of the other five professional sections of the club. He also said the objective is to continue improving and to aspire to more next season.

"Winning six leagues in one season with all six professional teams is a great source of pride. We also have the viability plan approved by La Liga. We want more. We are not satisfied with this and we have to make the leap to Europe and that is why we are strengthening. I like La Liga to have the best players in the world and we are the first ones who have to do it to achieve this."

This week FC Barcelona have also received the excellent news of the confirmation that next season they will be able to play in the Champions League because the UEFA inspectors have come to the conclusion that with the current information on the 'Negreira case' they do not have enough elements to propose a sanction to Barça. "We are satisfied because the UEFA investigators have not seen any reason to keep us out of the competition," said the chief.

In this meeting with the supporters clubs, Joan Laporta has travelled accompanied by the director responsible for women's football, Xavi Puig, and former player, Ricardo Serna.
