Joan Laporta's favourite to take over from Ronald Koeman
The Dutch coach is on his way out and could be replaced by a compatriot
There’s a new participant in the race for the Barça coaching role to replace Ronald Koeman.
Catalunya Radio reported on Saturday that coach Joan Laporta wants Erik ten Hag, the current Ajax coach. The Dutchman, with almost a decade of experience on the bench (previously at Go Ahead Eagles, Bayern’s youth team under Pep, Utrecht), could be the new leader of the project.
It’s not the first time he’s been linked to the role. He was also reported to be an option to step in for Koeman in the summer. However it’s clear he doesn’t want to talk about it in public.
“I’m busy with Ajax, these rumours might be fun for you but they are not for me.”
