Jijantes: Newcastle United offer Barça €80 million for Raphinha

After the news of Mateu Alemany's departure, Barcelona's transfer market is more active than ever. But, for players to arrive, the Azulgrana will have to sell, this is a reality and, as Gerard Romero reports on Jijantes, the club have received a huge offer for Raphinha. 

Although the Brazilian is not one of the players up for sale in future, an offer of this size could change the Catalan club's mind. According to the information, Newcastle United have already verbally communicated to Barça that they would offer €80 million for the winger. 

Raphinha arrived last summer from Leeds United. He fought to join Barça and not Chelsea, who were in the fight until the end, even offering a bigger fee, but now, after a good first season, his future is up in the air again. 

Premier League wealth

Newcastle are the Premier League's nouveau riche and, as they look set to qualify for the Champions League next season, they will need to build a squad to compete in Europe. 

Barça debut campaign

Barça paid around €55 million for the player to join the club and week after week he has been confirming that the gamble on him was the right one.

So far, he has scored 7 goals in LaLiga and has distributed 6 assists. These figures add up to 10 goals and 11 assists in all competitions. 

Newcastle, therefore, see his incorporation as a priority. They know what he is capable of and at 26 years of age he would arrive with experience from the Premier League and Barcelona that would allow him to be one of the stars of the project.
