Jasper Cillessen returns to Barça training after calf injury

The goalkeeper may be cleared fit to be included in the squad for the Athletic game this week

Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen returned to training as normal on Tuesday as Luis Enrique's side prepared for the second leg of their Copa del Rey tie against Athletic Club.

The Dutch stopper injured his calf during the winter break but has now returned to fitness. The medical report on Dec. 30 ruled him out for two weeks and he is now just waiting to receive the green light to return to action, which could come on Wednesday.

Cillessen is the only Barcelona player currently out of action after Jeremy Mathieu was passed fit on Jan. 4. The French defender was injured in the Catalan Super Cup on Oct. 25, 2016.

Barça coach Luis Enrique Martinez, after a long time, was able to count on all his first team players in Tuesday's session, which took place on the Tito Vilanova pitch at the Ciudad Deportiva and was open to the media for the first 15 minutes.
