Ivan Rakitic on the Messi and Griezmann relationship
The Sevilla midfielder thinks the lack of goals is prompting the discussion
Ivan Rakitic is an authorised voice to speak about what's going on in Barcelona's dressing room. He spent six year at the club before leaving last summer. The Croatian spoke on Canal Sur radio about Leo Messi and Antoine Griezmann's relationship.
He did so to leave clear that according to him, there is no problem between them. In fact, a good atmosphere.
"What I saw is that they get on very well," said Rakitic. "I got on great with Antoine and with Leo. They take mate together and pass a lot of time together in the dressing room. If they start to score goals there won't be any more talking. That's the demand there is at big clubs. I'm not worried because they are two great guys, I wish them the best."
On his return to Sevilla, he added: "I'll be judged for what I do on the pitch. I need a bit of time, it's not the same as Barca, they play a different way. We are very competitive and always want to play. I came with a big hope to give the best of my self here. I have to find my rhythm, understand my team-mates and they need to understand me."
