The injured Croatian star will miss his country's upcoming fixtures

With LaLiga over, the Copa del Rey final loss to Valencia and being knocked out of the Champions League, Ivan Rakitic only had two matches with Croatia left before his season was officially over. However he picked up an injury in training and now won't represent his country against Wales and Tunisia.

"We've made the decision, alongside Ivan, that he won't play," Zlatko Dalic confirmed.

He'll miss the Euro 2020 qualifer against Wales and the friendly against Tunisia. With Frenkie de Jong joining Barça this summer it'll be interesting to see what Rakitic's next move is. PSG, Juventus and Manchester United are all after the midfielder.

With Ernesto Valverde remaining at the club it doesn't strengthen the possibilities of the Croatian sticking around too.
