The Croatian midfielder would prioritise a move to Barça but registration is not guaranteed

Barcelona are still looking for a pivot to play in front of the defence and the list is long, although the first names are practically ruled out due to the impossibility of making big investments. One of them is Marcelo Brozovic, the Inter player who the coaches like because of his international experience and ability on the ball. Brozovic has received an offer from Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia, but for now has decided to wait for a Blaugrana move and would prioritise this option.

Brozovic was on Barça's radar in January. The Catalan club were interested in him when Inter wanted Franck Kessié on loan but were unable to agree a swap deal. Now, the midfielder is on the market and will not continue at the Italian club, who must sell in the upcoming transfer window.

Brozovic's camp have informed Barça of the situation. Al-Nassr have made an offer of 17 million euros, but there is no agreement. And there is no agreement with the player either, who would prioritise signing for Barça. Brozovic is waiting, but he is also aware of Barça's difficulty in registering players, something that could make the operation difficult. And an exchange with Kessié is a long way off because Barça only want to make a net transfer with the player, which would leave just over 30 million euros in the club's coffers.

Barça have the challenge of bringing in a pivot, but the sporting department knows that it is extremely complicated. Brozovic could be a low-cost option that would fit the bill, although times are tight and the club needs to sell players in order to bring in the desired players.
