Iniesta: It's a shame we couldn't get the three points at Atletico

Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta highlighted Barcelona's performance against Atletico at the Wanda Metropolitano, but he lamented the fact they were unable to leave with the three points on their first ever visit to the stadium. 

Speaking in the mixed zone, Iniesta said that "it was a great game both in attack and defence." The Barça captain also said that tiredness from the international break was not a problem and "until the end we were close to winning the game. We tried to create chances. It was a good game, but it's a shame we couldn't get the three points. But it's another point and we're still at the top." 

In this sense, Iniesta insisted that "we're trying to follow the line we've marked, to keep improving. This is a difficult place to come and a tough team to beat. So we have to value the point and the performance. But there are things to improve, as always."

Asked about the atomosphere and the referendum in Catalonia, Iniesta said" "It's a game of football that we like to play, enjoy, in a spectacular atmosphere, beyond external matters. It was a great game against a great rival." 

Finally, on what Barça had lacked to win the game, Iniesta said that "lacked a bit of accuracy and that second goal, but this is football. In general, it was a job well done, we had chances to win and were good defensively."
