Inaki Williams: It was the best goal of my career
The Athletic forward was proud of his strike against Barcelona
Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams scored the winner in the Spanish Super Cup against Barcelona with a brilliant strike from distance.
“For what it means, it’s the best (of my career),” he told Movistar after the game. He considers that Athletic won the final “through heart and faith”.
“We played good football, (a symptom of what) the coach wants form us,” he said of Marcelino Garcia Toral, who only took over a fortnight ago.
“We fought, with passion, that’s what Athletic is. I think we’re fair winners. It’s everyone’s doing, including the previous technical team. We can dream of achieving big things.”
