In Portugal they take Ruben Neves joining Barca as a given

The newspaper 'A Bola' assures that it could be announced officially in the next days. 

Barça have been tracking the Wolverhampton player since last summer but the economic situation prevented them from making an attractive offer for the English club to transfer their player. The situation has changed radically because Neves has not renewed his contract and has decided to move on. And Barça is his priority. 

For the Azulgrana, it is an economically very interesting operation and one that they have been working on for some time with his agent, Jorge Mendes. Wolverhampton would pay 30 million euros and Ruben Neves in exchange for the services of Ansu Fati. The '10', for the moment, is reluctant to leave and is awaiting a meeting with Xavi to clarify his future. When the coach has spoken recently, at no time has he confirmed the continuity of the player. 

Ruben Neves is not Xavi's priority for the midfield position because he prefers Martin Zubimendi, from Real Sociedad, but he accepts the arrival of the Portuguese because he understands that it is a very beneficial operation for the club.
