Fight between Barcelona and Real Madrid for young Real Betis star

In each edition of LaLiga Promises various young players shine and clubs are alerted to them. It’s already been a while since Barcelona and Real Madrid started following David Pecellin, a forward at Real Betis. He is heavy-set and has spectacular technique.
In Betis they know this is the last season he will wear the green and white and that he will join a huge club. What is not decided is if he will go to Madrid or Barcelona. Sources close to the player confirmed to SPORT, at the Tenerife tournament, that Madrid have virtually sealed his signing but they are waiting to see if Barcelona launch a counter-offer. Barcelona will not lose their heads over a player who is still so young, but what they can offer is a place at La Masia and a strong sporting project, with the Infantil B generation aiming to achieve big things.
Economically, Madrid’s offer outstrips Barcelona’s. However, another potential bonus for Barcelona is having Pablo Paez ‘Gavi’ at the club, who two years ago played for Betis at Infantil B level. Pecellin’s people would be interested in finding out from him what life at La Masia is like and this could be the key to procuring him. In the end, the final decision will be taken by the player’s family. Ahead of him he has two different projects, both on a sporting and economic level, and they must decide which is the best to develop their son.
