Rousaud has been speaking after stepping down as Barça vice president

Emili Rousaud, now officially the ex-vice president of Barcelona after resigning along with five more board members, did a tour of the local radio stations on Friday.

Aside from one explosive allegation (that someone has been taking money out of the club), Rousadu said: "I would love to be president but I prefer to sleep easily at night."

Until recently he was set to be the current board's candidate in next summer's elections -- Josep Maria Bartomeu cannot run for a third term.

However, Rousaud explained: "It's necessary that the club members know that we have a complicated future. We have to make brave decisions in the next six years. The current leadership is not suitable for the needs of the club."

On his resignation, he added: "Bartomeu invited us (to step down) last week linked with the audit that's about to come out and because the salary reduction proposed by the club was insufficient to cover the economic problems caused by the pandemic."
