How will Joao Cancelo deal with Barca work out?

It's getting closer. A matter of bureaucracy, signing papers and finalising the details of the purchase option, clauses and so on. For days we have been reporting on the imminence of his arrival and that the club took him for granted. Although it has not yet been finalised, it would be a major surprise if he is not signed before the end of this week. 

Joao Cancelo will be Xavi's long-awaited reinforcement at right-back. A proven player, capable of playing on both flanks (at City he played with Guardiola on the left with his left foot). Offensive, reliable in defence. Of course, temperamental and with a strong personality that is difficult to tame. 

According to SPORT, the Portuguese has trained all summer with the group in Manchester. At no time has he done so on the sidelines (as, for example, happens at PSG with Mbappé and the other discarded players). But it is true that he has not played competitive minutes since the end of July. 

With the start of the official tournaments, he has disappeared from the map for Pep. He has always known that he didn't count for the coach from Santpedor. He already went out on loan to Bayern last season. They had a clash and their relationship deteriorated last year. And Pep decided that was enough.

Should he land before the weekend, it seems unlikely that he will be at Xavi's disposal for Sunday's game at Villarreal. Not to say impossible. Without training, without hardly having trained with the group. With doubts about whether it will be possible to register him. 

It is more logical that he could make it to the last game before the break at El Sadar against Osasuna.
