Luis Suarez understands Paco Alcacer better than anyone. Both centre forwards live for goals. The Uruguayan knows that his team-mate's not going through a great time because he's not yet been able to score in a Barcelona shirt. In fact, away from the satisfaction of a Barça win over Deportivo La Coruna at the weekend, Alcacer was unable to be especially happy because of the chances he missed.
Luis Suarez, in that sense, went through a similar spell to Alcacer. It's for that reason there's no one better than him to give advice about what to do and how to prepare for the coming matches. And Alcacer, speaking at an event on Monday, has revealed that "when the game ended [against Depor] Luis told me that he went through a similar streak [when he signed] and the help from outside helps me a lot. When you come to a club like this it surprises you how humble and hard working the people are."
Alcacer is really happy with the welcome he has received from his new team-mates and says everyone is helping him in his search for a first goal: "I feel good and integrated and I'm thankful to my team-mates for their welcome, it helps.
"I'm not anxious. It would be worse if I was. I have to have patience and the goal will come. I'm not worried about not scoring yet because the chances are coming and they will continue to come. The first goal could go in at any moment and in any way."
