How long will Barça's Clement Lenglet be suspended for?

The logical solution is that the defender is banned for one league game

The compteition Committee will meet on Tuesday to decide on the bans for the players sent off in La Liga this weekend: Theo Hernandez, Abdoulaye Ba, Parejo, Marcelino, Susaeta... and Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet. They would normally meet on Wednesday but as there are midweek games they have brought it forward.

Barça will be waiting to see what happens. Lenglet was sent off in the 35th minute after Gil Manzano used VAR to decide if he had deliberately elbowed Pere Pons.

The key now is is the referee's report: "Clement was dismissed for the following reason: striking the face of an opponent with his elbow when both players were competing for the ball."

Normally here, the French defender would have a one game ban, for two reasons. The first is that the referee explains "both players were competing for the ball." The second aspect is that Pons did not need to receive medical attention and the consequences of the clash were minimal.
