Luis Enrique did not pick Jordi Alba in his Spain squad. A surprise for everyone, not just fans but Alba himself.
Alba's absence was nothing they agreed upon. There had been no agreement between the player and the coach, who fell out in Lucho's last season at Barcelona. Usually coaches tell players before making the decision public, especially when they are sensitive like this.
Lucho did not speak to Busquets or Sergi Roberto about it either. Stunned at what has happened, the player has not commented publicly about his absence, at least for now. Alba is focused on the game against Huesca and neither he or his people will speak for now.
