There's a clear divide between football and the other sports now

Guillermo Amor has joined the setup following Soler's change of role

For a few months Barcelona have been re-modelling their sporting structure. The appointment of Pep Segura as general manager on the football side of things in July was the first sign Bartomeu wanted to change things.

Things have moved quickly since Albert Soler decided to step away from the football side of things on Monday. Soler will now head up the other sports section in one of the bigger changes -- there's now a clear divide.

Another big change sees Guillermo Amor appointed as a link between the dressing room and the board. His official title is Institutional and Sporting Relations director -- he will also continue to work with the La Masia.

One of the names that took criticism for the summer's transfer activity was Robert Fernandez. However, for now, he remains as the club's sporting director, as part of the team headed by Segura.

Therefore, with the appointment of Amor, Segura heads a team of two.

There's no changes in the others sports, though. In this sense basketball (Nacho Rodríguez), handball (David Barrufet), hockey (Toni Miró) and fútbol sala (Txus Lahoz) all continue as they were.

Xavier O’Callaghan, meanwhile, remains the general manager of basketball, hockey and fútbol sala.
