The coach is expected to give a breather to many first team stars which could open the door for Umtiti, Aleña, Todibo and Malcom to get minutes

Ernesto Valverde is still trying to work out his starting lineup for the match against Huesca on Saturday. The coach wants to start rotating his side and give those in desperate need of playing time an opportunity.

With the return leg against Manchester United around the corner, Valverde wants to keep his side as fresh as possible. Gerard Pique and Luis Suarez won't play a single minute in the fixture as they serve out one-match suspensions. Jeison Murillo and Kevin-Prince Boateng should replace them in the squad. The pair have yet to really play since signing for Barça in January. Both appear unlikely to have a long-term future at the club.

Having the ideal XI fit and ready for United means Valverde can rest the majority of his stars. Carles Aleña, Todibo, Malcom, Sergi Roberto and Samuel Umtiti will all be looking to start. Valverde could even turn to some of the Barça B players which have trained with the first team for most of the season. Riqui Puig might be handed another chance to impress. However with the B side looking to gain promotion, they might be required to stick with that squad instead.

The starting eleven against Huesca could be: Ter Stegen, Sergi Roberto, Murillo, Umtiti, Jordi Alba, Todibo, Aleñá, Arturo Vidal, Malcom, Boateng and Coutinho.
