Hector Bellerin, the impossible dream that escaped FC Barcelona
Héctor Bellerin will sign a new deal with Arsenal in the coming weeks and is very happy in London playing for the Gunners
Until a couple of weeks ago, Barcelona's plan was to fight for the return of Hector Bellerin to reinforce their right-back spot and allow Aleix Vidal to leave.
However, all has changed. Robert Fernandez knows that Bellerin is a special case because he feels a true "Gunner" and Arsenal have promised him a big new salary in line with his excellent performances.
Motives that mean Barcelona will not be able to afford him. Robert also knows Manchester City want him and his final conclusion is that battling them is something he cannot do.
Barcelona's have waved goodbye to Bellerin and are now focusing on other targets, with Valencia's Joao Cancelo the primary option.
