Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, president of PSG, says the player will not be leaving this summer, per L'Equipe

Barcelona and Real Madrid wanted to sign him but they will have to wait

PSG are sure of themselves. At least their president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is. He doesn’t want to hear any more about a potential Marco Verratti exit this summer. Despite constant rumours that he might head to Barcelona or Real Madrid, the Qatari chief of the club said: “Verratti will not leave next summer,” per L’Equipe.

The Italian, 24, is non-transferrable. That is what Al-Khelaifi told the player’s manager Donato di Campli, who at the weekend denied that he had met Barcelona when he was in the Catalan capital. “A meeting with Barcelona? It’s not true. I only went to watch the Champions League game,” said Di Campli.

In Madrid they like Verratti too and Madrid chief Florentino Perez has a good relationship with his opposite number at PSG, but despite that, the midfielder will not be leaving Paris.
