Griezmann: They weren't going in but now it seems everything is going well

The French forward took his tally in La Liga to five this season with a brace vs. Granada

It is usual to see Antoine Griezmann working hard on the pitch but it's not been as common to see him scoring goals. Against Granada on Saturday, the Frenchman scored a double and produced one of his best displays since joining Barcelona.

Smilint about his performance, Griezmann spoke to Movistar after the game and said he was very happy because "they weren't going in and now it's all going well. Hopefully it continued."

The first of his two goals against Granada came with doubt about if he was onside, although the fact Roberto Soldado had deflected it into his path proved key.

"In the first goal I didn't think I was offside and that's why I played on," Griezmann said.

Also making news on the night was Samuel Umtiti, who made his first start of the season after Ronald Araujo got injured in the warm up.

"Samu wasn't ready because he only found out he was playing after the warm-up, but he played really well," Griezmann said of his France teammate.

Griezmann also praised the performance at a "difficult" ground and was also happy that "players were able to rest," including Lionel Messi, who came off after the fourth goal.

"We worked hard," Griezmann said. "We needed the three points, to keep the run going and I am happy with how the team did. We have to get three points every game and keep our performances up like in Bilbao in midweek and now here."
