Xavi Hernandez has named his squad for Saturday's trip north to Girona

After booking their ticket to the semifinals of the Copa del Rey against Real Sociedad, FC Barcelona return to the league action to face Girona in a Catalan derby on Saturday.

The Blaugrana arrive in good form and want to maintain their good run of results to cement their place at the top of the standings. Estadi Montilivi will test the defensive reliability of Xavi Hernández's team.

Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres, who are serving the last game of their respective suspensions, are the only first-team players who are not available for the game.

The rest, including a Pedri, who has already fully recovered from a knock in midweek, have been named in the squad.

Due to the absence of Lewandowski and Ferran, young winger Ángel Alarcón travels with the squad. The youth squad player, who trained on Friday with the first team, was left out of the squad against La Real as he had a cup match with the youth team, but he returns this weekend.

Xavi likes him and continues to keep him in the first-team dynamic. The young goalkeeper Astralaga is in the squad.

Barça squad: Ter Stegen, Iñaki Peña, Astralaga, Bellerín, Araujo, Busquets, Dembélé, Pedri, Ansu Fati, Christensen, Marcos Alonso, Jordi Alba, Kessié, Sergi Roberto, Frenkie de Jong , Raphinha, Koundé, Eric Garcia, Balde, Gavi, Pablo Torre and Ángel Alarcón.
