Gerard Piqué will sign his contract extension at Barcelona on Monday
Pique will sign on untill 2022 with his beloved club
FC Barcelona defender Gerard Pique will sign his contract extension on Monday, January 29. A deal he sealed a few days ago, wich will see him stay a Barcelona player until 2022, with a release fee clause of 500m euros.
The act will take place at 1.15pm in the presidential box, with a photographic session following. Then at 1.45pm, Pique will speak to the media in the Camp Nou press room.
Pique, who was formed at La Masia, left in 2004 to play for Manchester United, before returning in 2008 thanks to coach Pep Guardiola and president Joan Laporta.
Since then he has gone on to win 25 titles and play 424 games for Barcelona. The 30-year-old's deal takes him up to the age of 35.
