Gerard Pique one game away from 300 La Liga appearances with Barcelona
The defender could being up the landmark against Real Valladolid on Saturday
Gerard Pique could make his 300th La Liga appearance as a Barcelona player on Saturday. The Catalan defender has played 299 times in Spain's top flight for the Blaugrana, winning 226 times (75.5 percent), drawing 50 games (16.7 percent) and losing just 23 times (7.6 percent).
He has scored 27 goals (he's never failed to find the net in each season with the club) and has picked up 79 yellow cards in that time. He has been sent off on six occasions. Athletic Club and Espanyol are the teams he has faced the most (20 times each) and his preferred victim when it comes to scoring is the latter (four goals). The Barça No.3 has played a total of 25,383 minutes.
On Saturday, at Camp Nou against Real Valladolid, he could add to that data.
Before playing for Barça, Pique played in Spain's top flight with Real Zaragoza, who he joined on loan from Manchester United in the 2006-07 season. Pique played 22 times (eight wins, 10 draws and four losses, two goals and 1,565 minutes).
