Gerard Pique's medical statement after thigh problem flares up
The defender started against Real Mallorca but had to go off injured
Gerard Pique has had physical problems for weeks. He tried to play against Mallorca but could not continue. He had to go off in the first half. Barcelona have confirmed that he has an adductor issue in his left though.
They said he is out for the time being and his recuperation will determine when he can play again.
The Barcelona centre-back in principle may miss the rest of the season to come back next term in the best condition possible, although if the team need to fight to the wire to finish second then he could force the issue again.
