The defender had made 399 Barça appearances before Saturday's game

Pique re-joined the club from Manchester United in the summer of 2008

Barcelona centre-back Gerard Pique made his 400th appearance for the club at Mendizorroza on Saturday. The Catalan made his first team debut on August 13, 2008 in a Champions League qualifier and since then has made another 399 appearances for the club.

Pique's debut was a 4-0 win against Wisla Krakow at Camp Nou, with Pep Guardiola as coach. Since then he has been a regular under each manager he's worked with: Tito Vilanova, Tata Martino, Luis Enrique and Ernesto Valverde.

The Spain international is in his 10th season with Barcelona and in the 399 games to date he has won 288 (71.67 percent), drawn 72 (18.04 percent) and lost 41 (10.27 percent). In his outings he has managed 35 goals (21 in the league, nine in Europe and five in the Copa del Rey).

Throughout his time with the club he has won 25 titles: 6 La Ligas, 5 Copa del Reys, 5 Spanish Super Cups, 3 Champions League, 3 European Super Cups and 3 Club World Cups.

Pique could have made his 400th appearance against Real Betis last weekend, but remained on the bench, Ernesto Valverde preferring not to risk him after he strained his groin in the Super Cup loss to Real Madrid.
