The defender was invited after he played six games in the first half of the season
Former FC Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué was not present at the La Liga title celebrations. After hanging up his boots last November, the centre-back did not join the rest of the players.
The player from Bonanova, who is completely focused on the development of the Kings League, is part of the La Liga champions' squad having played a total of six matches in the first part of the season.
The player trained in Barça's youth ranks and formerly of Manchester United and Zaragoza, has won his ninth league title as a Barça player, but did not join in the celebrations of the men's and women's teams, which are being held in the streets of Barcelona.
