Gerard Pique banters with "fatty" Barcelona striker Luis Suarez
Pique took a joking dig at Suarez ahead of Barcelona's training session on Tuesday at the Ciutat Esportiva
Gerard Pique drew media attention on Tuesday. Not just for his press conference where he spoke about almost quitting football, but as well for the joke he made at Luis Suarez's expense ahead of the training session before Barcelona's clash with Manchester City.
As observed by SPORT, Pique hit out at the Uruguayan in a banterous way as they were coming out onto the pitch. Although you couldn't see Pique, you could hear him perfectly well. "What a disgrace, eh! What the fatty's for, truthfully... 80 million euros to give a massage, my gosh."
Pique strode out on the grass and Suarez followed, with Messi and Neymar. The Uruguayan wanted to correct Pique. "Eh, 81!" he said.
Suarez and Pique have a good personal relationship and this dialogue shows there's confidence between them.
