Gerard Pique and Gavi in danger of European suspension
The duo will miss the next Champions League (or Europa League) game if booked
Barcelona are playing for their Champions League survival. It’s hard to think beyond the clash with Bayern tonight. But if they do get through, two players are at risk of missing the last 16 first leg game. Gerard Pique and Gavi.
Both have been booked twice in the first group phase matches and if they see another tonight then they will not be available in February. In the UCL if Barcelona go through, or Europa League, if they don’t.
Pique and Gavi are both set to start against Bayern. The former rested against Betis while the latter came off after getting a whack on the head, but is fine to play.
