Gerard Lopez wants Marlon Santos to take a step forward

Barcelona B coach Gerard Lopez played Fali and Gumbau, midfielders, at centre-back against Hercules last weekend. It's something he already did the week before, when he also used Marlon with them against Atletico Saguntino. 

The Brazilian was left on the bench against Hercules at the Mini Estadi. The reason is that the coach was not happy with Marlon against Saguntino and wants more from him. While he is a big prospect for the club, he still seems green in some aspects of his asimilation to Barcelona concepts. The club's system is not like any others - so while Marlon needs to improve, nobody doubts that he will.

Lopez is working with him individually to improve his performance, particularly in the creation of play. If he gets better, as expected, he will be back in the team.
