The future looks bright at Camp Nou with a talented crop of youngsters coming through

Barcelona are in their best form of the season. Xavi Hernandez has restored a style of football to the club and the fans are excited by the new project, with a great generation of young players.

Due to the financial situation, many youngsters have been given chances -- and they have taken them -- to consolidate themselves in the first team. Barça could even field a team of players born after 2000 and are, therefore, at the oldest 22.

In goal, would be Iñaki Peña or Arnau Tenas. Tenas is currently No.3 after Peña joined Galatasaray, Barça's Europa League opponent, on loan. Both are possible long-term replacements for Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

At right-back, Sergiño Dest has a contract until 2025 and he would be joined across the backing by Eric Garcia, Ronald Araujo and Alejandro Balde -- although it's true Araujo was born in 1999, just missing the cut. He's still 22, though.

In midfield, Nico Gonzalez, Pedri and Gavi are destined to play a big role in the club's future. Pedri has a deal until 2026 but Gavi (2023) and Nico (2024) need tying down.

In attack, January signing Ferran Torres could be joined by Abde and Ansu Fati, making the team: Arnau Tenas or Iñaki Peña; Dest, Eric Garcia, Araujo, Balde; Nico, Pedri, Gavi; Abde, Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati.
